Grosse Pointe Michigan - Child Photographer

Portraits in Patterson Park was such a wonderful experience. All the children and parents were just a joy to work with, including this little cutie! Little L was just the sweetest little thing and in looking through her gallery I was struck again by how joyful she is. Simple things like rocking in the horse and playing with a dandelion made her smile and smile big. Sometimes, my favorite images in a session are those where you don't even see the face, an image where you just know the story by seeing everything else. Thanks to Cayce, little L's mommy for participating in our portrait day! It was such a pleasure meeting you and thank you for allowing me a few moments with your beautiful daughter.

Meet the girls! These two little cuties were also participants in our Portraits in the Park last week. They were just so cute together, so interested in each other it made me laugh! Big sister just has the most incredible brown eyes - so full of joy and life! Thanks Jennifer, for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful girls. As the mom of three girls it always warms my heart to photograph sisters together!

Meet Sweet Baby M! I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little girl at the park last Friday as part of our Portraits in the Park. We had an absolutely beautiful day for sessions and this little girl was just too much fun. It's fun with this age... they are constantly in motion - they keep you on your toes for sure! Thanks to Sarah - baby M's mommy who helped organize our portraits. It was terrific to meet you and to spend a bit of time with your little girl! Thanks for choosing Beth Eggert Photography!

 Feels Like Home
For six springs I spent every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sitting in the bleachers at LCN watching a group of great girls work hard together as a team to accomplish great things. This is my first year not in the bleachers and it was bittersweet. In a way, it was a blessing - it's been such a wet and dreary spring! On the other hand, I've missed it so much! I was always amazed at the talent, the passion, the fitness and the camaraderie that this sport inspired in our young women. I was so happy when a couple of the girls got in touch and asked if I would please come do our annual team photo shoot! It's always so nice to be invited back! It was my pleasure to spend a bit of time with these terrific young ladies as they wind down their regular season and start gearing up for districts. Good Luck Girls!

Meet one of the sweetest little girls ever! It was my pleasure to photograph this little beauty at our recent Portraits in the Park at Patterson Park. What a beautiful day it turned out to be and it was my pleasure to work with 9 wonderful families. Sarah was kind enough to coordinate our event and hand around the park most of the day greeting the other moms and directing them to our little party. This smiling joyful little girl was a trooper through it all. Thanks Sarah for your hard work and for allowing Beth Eggert Photography to photograph your sweety!

Chesterfield Michigan - Family Photographer

That's all right Mother Nature, we won't let you keep us down!

That has been my theme song all spring this year. This super sweet family came in over the weekend for a session and yes, of course, it was raining and cold. But we had a jolly time indoors despite the weather. Connor (aka Colton) and Nathan did such a great job and were such a joy to work with. Can't you just see the fun in their eyes! An explanation is order for the image of the boys and their dad...I know it seems an odd image for a portrait but it was just after Nathan sneezed...sneezed unexpectedly...sneezed unexpectedly on dad.... sneezed unexpectedly on dad and thought as only little boys can, that it was hilarious! Love those unscripted moments! Thanks Lauren and Chris, Nathan and Connor for choosing Beth Eggert Photography for your family session. It was great to meet you all.

Senior Photographer - Chesterfield Michigan

Meet Leah - Class of 2012 Senior Model!
Well Mother Nature has not been kind to me this spring. I don't remember a spring so wet in recent history. I've been trying to Leah back to the studio for another mini session and we finally managed to find a time we were both free and it was warm and DRY enough to do the session outdoors. Love these images of her. She's great in front of the camera anyways but add in that sweet evening light and some greenery and I think it makes magic.
Thanks Leah, for taking the time out of your busy schedule. Can't wait till we do your full session this summer.!

Child Photographer - Chesterfield Michigan

Finally, at long last a weekend filled with warm temperatures and sunshine. I was beginning to think we'd never have that here in Michigan! This weekend was the first Utica Antique Show for 2011. I love going to check out all the old goodies the vendors have there and this trip I found a few things for my favorite field! Love this garden trellis and have all kinds of ideas on how I'm going to use it this summer.
You may recognize my youngest dear daughter who was roped into a quick couple of images on Saturday - we called it an earlier Mother's Day Gift.
Looking forward to using my new find with clients over the summer!

Chesterfield Michigan Senior Photographer Class of 2011

You know how you get an idea in your head and you can just see the end product in your minds eye - even if it isn't a photograph? Well that's what happened with me during this mini session with Dan. To say Dan was a bit reluctant to have senior pictures taken would be an understatment of huge proporations but since I'm his aunt and his mom put a bug in my ear AND since I just found out he has a band and plays killer drums, the poor boy didn't stand a chance. Yes, I made him pack up the whole set, drive it 35 miles to my favorite field, unload, set up and then play for me while I photographed him! I love this series of images of him. And you know what, I think he kind was diggin it too. Since he was here all ready I dragged him to the studio to get just one or two images for his mom. Ahhh Dan was a good sport! Thanks Dan for putting up with me! Congratulations on graduating!
