Meet B!

gotta love a girl who's not afraid to change on the fly! B was a good sport about not wasting precious good light! We had a great time shooting on location, figuring out what spots to use and how best to use them. She's a natural in front of the camera! I totally dig her studio hair doo! It was so cute and such a nice change to not have to fight the "dreaded bangs" although they did rear their ugly head a bit later in the day! I can't wait to see the rest of B's session!

I couldn't resist!

Poor C...another senior I've known since she was 8! I have so many fond memories of soccer games and practices with C and her family. She has a sister about the same age as my youngest daughter and they have always been soccer sisters..you know, they kept each other entertained during all those tournaments, and games and practices! It seems so strange to think of C as a senior! She'll always be a squid to me. When we went out to do C's location session, she and her mom were kind enough to let me try a new spot, a beautiful spot. A location that kept us out shooting longer than any of us thought! Special thanks to my friend Jeffrey who met us there and showed us the ropes...and tried to get us in trouble...here are a few from our session. C - I wish you nothing but good things and much success and happiness. I have no doubt life holds in store many wonderful things for you.

One of my favorite places to shoot

is Dodge Park. It's such a great park ...so much to do there...lots of open spaces, great trees, cool bridge and water and H was working it all! We had a pretty decent night, the bugs stayed away except by the bridge which made that part of our location session pretty funny. Nothing like swatting a few mesquitos and trying to hold a pose or a camera at the same time! Funnnnnnnyyyy... but we managed to get some great shots. Thanks to H's friend who came along to take care of her darling little doggie. What a sweetie. Enjoy your sneak peak...more to come!

Heeerreeeeeee's M!

Gosh how lucky I've been this senior season...such great seniors to photograph. We had such a good time working together last week! And it's such a small world...all these little connections, friends and family in common. M was a trooper....putting up with all kinds of critters during her outdoor session and letting me play a bit in studio. I love my job! I love the images from M's session as well! Here's just a few I peaked at...cannot wait to go through the entire session.

And here's S!

Poor S...we had to cut our session in half this week due to weather...that dang mother nature was out to ruin our location session time so we're going to wait until it is PERFECT to finish her session!! We had such fun doing the studio portion though! I love it when they just "get it" and know how to vary their expression and hold their heads just so and S does!! Can't wait till Wednesday to finish up...

Meet R!

Some days are just more fun than others...and this was one of them. R is a terrific kid and good sport. We had some really nice weather and good light for his outdoor session! Field of dreams...um...not so much! Despite the huge mesquitos, also known as the state bird, we managed to get some awesome captures. It was such a pleasure meeting R! Enjoy your senior year!

Meet M!

I've known M since she was 9 I think....and it has been great fun watching her grow and change. M is another good friend of my daughters...all three of them! She's been our babysitter, our soccer teammate, our classmate and our friend. It's hard to believe she is going to be graduating soon and heading off to college. I know M is going to have a great year this year! I'll be out there cheering you on for soccer and I might make a home game or two of volleyball just to come watch you play!

What a beautiful Bride and Groom and a beautiful day...

I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding on Friday with Lisa Adams from Lisa Adams Photography of Shelby Township. It was a beautiful day, sunny, no humidity, a few fluffy clouds in the sky and a terrific couple.

Such a beautiful family they are! We had a great time driving around on the golf course looking for just the right spot to get the shot!
Of course, if you leave the groomsmen alone for a minute they will find some trouble! These guys were great fun. And don't you love the Cleopatra pose from D on the couch! It was great working with everyone. Congratulations to the Bride and Groom.

Meet D!

Poor D....got roped into doing photos to make mom happy! Don't you believe it. This boy knows how to work the camera! We photographed D at Brandenburg...perfect park for a guy...lots of great textures, and water..and not a flower in sight! Sorry Mom. D was terrific to work with...easy to photograph and such a nice guy! Thanks D...

Here Come the Fellas...at least a few!

Meet R. R is a senior model for Beth Eggert Photography. We had a quite a time shooting his location session . We headed downtown Detroit to Tiger stadium where we captured a few special shots honoring his grandmother, a true Tiger fan. Then headed to the waterfront for a few shots and stopped at various spots along the way. It's always great to have the chance to photograph my models. We've gotten to know one another a bit and so it makes our sessions that much more fun! Hey R, got any new jokes for me to use..I know you're tired of my usual ones!

Heeeeerrreeeee's V!

Aw, such a good sport V is! We went to Stoney Creek to shoot at the beach and if you've ever been to the beach you know how dang windy it is there! V was big fun during her session, she really likes to ham it up for the camera! LOL...And she is so talented. Of course when she brought out her piccolo and flute, I requested she pay a bit for us. She's terrific!!
We had a beautiful morning for her shoot, low humidity, and even though it was windy it was great to be outdoors. Thanks V! It was a pleasure photographing you! Can't wait to see more of your session...

Meet A!

I love my job! Have I told you that? I really really love my job... I get to work with some great kids, doing something I really love to do and spend some time outdoors just about everyday! I feel so lucky to be able to follow my photography passion.
A's session reminded me again. We started out trying to use Dodge Park for our session but that was not to be...we headed over to heritage and got some great stuff...then into the studio to finish up! Quite a day and so many images that I really love. Thanks A for being such a good sport and excellent model!

Here's M again!

Now here is a familiar face...M is a Class of '09 senior model! This was our third session together and unfortunately, the weather was too dang hot to finish up our location session so we'll be seeing M again in a few weeks! M is such a good

sport, she doesn't mind letting try new things and techniques while she is in the studio! I appreciate her willingness and think because of it we have some totally awesome images! Can't wait to go on location again M!

Meet J!

J is a good friend of my daughters. I didn't realize how good of friends they were until they were in the car together heading to our location session and all they did was bicker like siblings...yep, the brother she's never had! All in good fun though. J was great to work with, pretty easy going and fun to photograph. He might say he doesn' t like having his picture taken but don't believe it! He's a natural in front of the lens. Great session J!
