Meet the Chun Family! I often times get some strange requests when photograhping clients but this one was different for sure. See, the family wanted to replicate a favorite family photo from a few years ago that included a pyramid of family members. I was all for the challenge of getting five grown adults in my small space in some semblence of a pyramid! Of course, it's a bit difficult when the baby tops 6 feet! But no worries, we were able to grab the shot as well as a few others! Thanks so much for choosing Beth Eggert Photography for your family session. As the mom of three, one on her way back to college, another getting ready for her first year away from home and the baby starting middle school, I see my future as an empty nester coming along sooner than I'd like! I can totally relate to capturing this time with your family.

Meet the B family! It was such a pleasure to work with Anna and Howard and their two beautiful children. We were lucky that the rains stopped in time for the ground to dry out a bit. It was still just a touch soggy in some parts of lovely Patterson Park but overall, definately do-able. The morning of our session the sun was shining, the lake was glistening and the fish flies were a-flying... yep, good thing the kids think the fish flies are fun...me, I'm okay with the little bugs...especially when they help make my job easier. What little boy can resist bugs stuck to a camera lens, or to mom's knee or on dad's head? And little B was a great sport too. She was happily kicking up swarms of the little sticky bugs while we made our way to the boardwalk and gazebo. I know my own daughters, who are much much older, would've been totally freaked out by the fish flies!
Thanks so much for choosing Beth Eggert Photography for your family session.

Meet Tom, Karen and J. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this family last week at Heritage Gardens which is one of my favorite places for family photography. J was a little shy around me at first but warmed up once we went to see the train. And J definately liked the ducks and geese. We saw a family of ducks with six baby ducklings..they were jus the cutest things. There is something so sweet about this lifestyle photograpy...where you get a chance to glimpse into their lives and share in a special moment between parents and child, between mom and son, between daddy and son and between husband and wife. I'm so glad I had the chance to help capture this brief moment in time. Thank you for choosing Beth Eggert Photography!Saturday, May 22, 2010

Here'sd L! She is just so darn cute and even though she wasn't feeling her best, we managed to get quite a few images! I do know that L loves her cheerios (and what one year old doesn't!) so we did a little creative hiding of the O's to help keep L happy! I just love her blue eyes and her lopsided smile.Monday, May 17, 2010

Here's TJ! I love this age... there is something so comical in just about everything a two year old does. What a great little guy he is... so smart and so easy to work with. Poor guy had just gotten up from a nap and had a bit of a car ride so he was still a tiny bit unsure but it didn't last for long! This may have been the quicket two year old session in history as well. I was amazed at how well TJ would follow direction. Thanks Anita, for choosing my studio to photograph TJ! Happy Birthday!

What a face! Who could resist such sweetness. This is K whom I had the pleasure of photographing with her lovely mom and grandmother over the weekend. She is such a doll and was so good during out studio session. I so enjoyed my time with K...she has such a brightness about her and she is just plain ol' fun. Of couse, I'm sure it helped loosen her up when I put on a tutu and danced around like a crazy woman. Thanks so much for choosing Beth Eggert Photography. It was terrific having you at the studio.

Meet D! Isn't she just the sweetest thing. Three months can somtimes be such a difficult age to photograph since they dont' really sit too well or hold their heads up very long. But D was a trooper! As long as we didn't try to put her on her belly, she was great! It's always fun to find different objects to prop the babies in and I was thrilled to see that D was strong enough, with a little help from the fluffy blankets, to sit upright for some shots! It was so nice to meet Michelle and John today too. Thanks for coming to the studio!Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Just wanted to take a minute and say a big thank you to my Class of 2010 Senior Models. It has been truly a pleasure working with you all. I wish you much success in the future. I know great things are in store for you all.
I'd also like to take a minute and thank all of my Class of 2010 clients! It was a wonderful year. I enjoyed meeting your children and many of your families! I know how hard it is to see our babies grow up and have found myself in denial about the upcoming college move. I think it's tougher on us parents than on our graduates. Best of luck everyone! I've posted a video that highlights my favorites from every session this year.
Enjoy!

Here's Andrew!
Gosh it seems like it has been forever since I've had the opportunity to photograph a senior outdoors! What a long winter we had. It was so nice to meet up with Andrew and his mom again and to head downtown Detroit for our location session. I don't often get to town so it was a treat to have such a beautiful day to walk around Comerica Park and the Fox Theatre. Andrew was a great sport and actually managed to keep up with me... if you've ever been on location with me, you know I like to combine my workout with the work! Thanks again Andrew for choosing Beth Eggert Photography for your Senior Portraits!

It was my pleasure to photograph my dear friends, the Pietrangelo's. We had a great time on vacation together and I'm so glad we captured these moments. Soon, the kids will all be college and the house a bit quieter. I'm sure they will look back fondly at these images and recall the fun we had at our session. Thanks guys! Check out their video by clicking above.

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a fabulous Spring Break! It's great to be back in town and working in warm weather. I was a bit spoiled down in Florida last week with 80 degree weather. Coming home was hard knowing that it was still on the chilly side here. In any case, shout out to my Class of 2011 Senior Models! Looking forward to our next group shot. In case you've missed them, here they are:

Check out Alisha! I've known Alisha for quite some time, too. I remember her way back in the days of middle school and early high school. Such a beautiful young lady she has become. It's funny to me to see how different she is than her sister! Both girls are natural beauties and true sweethearts but they are definately different people! I can't wait to have Alisha bring all of her shoes and purses into the studio with her! We are going to have such a good time capturing who she is now, at this particular time in her life as she gets ready to head into her final year of higschool.
I'm just so lucky to get to spend a bit of time with all of these amazing kids. Have I mentioned lately that I love love love my job?

Isn't she just the cutest thing? Meet Stephanie, Class of 2011 Model. Such a pleasure to photograph her. I've known Steph since she was a freshman. Let me tell you, she is a terror on the turf! Soccer is her game and boy is she good at it! From the first season at LCN, she has been one of my favorites to watch play. Yes, I can admit it, I am a die hard soccer fan. Two of my girls have played, one still plays and spring and fall won't be the same when my daughter finish her senior season this year. In the meantime, I can't wait to get some action shots of Steph tearin' it up on the field this year. You might even catch me in the stands next year or on the field with my gear still photographing Steph.
I'm so happy to have her as a Class of 2011 Model! We had a chance to get together this weekend and do a mini session. Thanks Steph, for coming in on a Sunday. I know your schedule is crazy busy with practices and getting ready to start the seaon this month. (Which I think is a bit crazy for Michigan).

Here are a few familiar faces! I just had to put these two in front of my camera again. Soon, they'll both be gone to college and the opportunities to photograph them will be slim pickin's. I just want to thank DD and Marie for all of their hard work this past year and a half...what great models they have been. More importantly, they have brought alot of laughter and fun to the studio and our home. It is a joy to photograph them. I'm sure going to miss them next year! Plus, they make the cutest couple..don't ya think! I wish you both much success.
